Chocolate, Nut Butter, Banana, Protein Smoothie
This is a high protein, healthy smoothie with anti-inflammatory properties. I use peanut butter which has no added sugar or salt as well as a low carb whey protein powder.
You can use any flavour protein powder you like. I've had great results with the following protein powder flavours: chocolate, vanilla, cookies and cream, and peanut butter.
5 minutes to make. Serves 1.
Ingredients:
1 medium banana, peeled
1 tbsp peanut butter or other nut butter
1 serving of protein powder (mixed with water or milk as indicated)
1/2 tsp raw honey or other sweetener
4 blocks of ice
A pinch of cinnamon and ginger
Directions:
Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
If a thinner consistency is desired, add a little bit of water.
Pour into a big glass and enjoy.
